This paper seeks to elucidate the experience and impact of attorneys serving this unique population. Studying their experiences provides new knowledge about the nature of legal practice of habeas attorneys for Guantánamo detainees. It also deepens our understanding of the role of law and the legal profession in the nation’s efforts to combat terrorism.
